When Can You Start Pregnancy Massage?

When to Avoid Pregnancy Massage
While pregnancy massage is safe for most women, there are situations where treatment may need to be postponed or adapted.

You should avoid pregnancy massage if:

You are in your first trimester and your healthcare provider has advised against it

You have placenta previa, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or severe preeclampsiaYou are running a fever or infection, or feeling generally unwell In these cases, massage may need to be delayed, modified, or cleared with your medical team.
